RVA Street Art: Richmond Mural Project 2015

312 Goshen Street by Nils Westergard
Last week, I ventured into Richmond to photograph the newly completed murals from Art Whino's latest installment of the Richmond Mural Project.  I'm not going to lie, I'm glad I'm caught up and that there won't be any major street art events until the spring.  I didn't realize it until this trip, but the ubiquity of these large scale public paintings has taken the wonder out of it for me.  I'm no longer mesmerized when I turn a corner and see a massive piece of art, and I think that means that I at least need a break. Just to be clear, I'm not passing judgement on any of the actual art, and I definitely don't think it's from the devil

I set out to personally see and document as many murals around Richmond as I could, and I feel like I did a pretty good job.  This will be my eleventh blog post (almost 200 photos), and that's a whole lot of murals.
